Ok mabye I was a bit broad, so heres a more detailed personal explaination. Level 7 of R-type Final, as depicted in the above posted screen, reaches that peak of what Rez achieved. It goes from completing each level/obstacle/environment in reaching the last stage. Then its at a point on FINAL Stage 7 where abstraction and storytelling fused with gameplay combined in giving you that “Rez” feeling. Rez does it with the history course of life and FINAL does it with the history course of human and Bydo infusion. Both of which is telling a story in visual metaphors. I guess I could say Ikaruga Level 5 does this also in comparison, where in the end its all about self-destruction for enlightenment. Same with FINAL in that you destroy and self-destruct to reach that path of enlightment. Rez does with with restarting back to the beginning with the Final form and restore that mainframe to reach enlightment. But my comparision was not at all to be compared to in gameplay but more so experience felt and the visual metaphor/story presented. Of course this is all personal opinion due to personal experience, because everyones experience is different. But this is what I feel in comparison.
